The Ottawa-Shanghai Joint School of Medicine (OSJSM) is the fruit of a preferred equal partnership between two prestigious Faculties of Medicine: the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SJTUSM) and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa (uOttawa).

SJTUSM and uOttawa, both high-ranking Faculties of Medicine, have forged this significant partnership to strengthen their social accountability to their countries and to the world. As the world’s first Sino-Canadian Joint Medical School, it introduces North American undergraduate medical education (UGME) to China and aims to become a bi-national model partnership for the internationalization of medical education.
